mission is to serve the community by providing various classes in the arts, community productions, positive self-esteem workshops, camps, and festivals to underserved youth and young adults. It is always the wish of Judah to embrace the arts community by collaborating with, and providing various outlets for, professional artists and those individuals who are striving to be professional artist or just love and respect the arts.
Shell Ridley-Steward is an artistic director, choreographer and teacher in the Central Ohio community. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Jazz Dance from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a dance certification from The Ohio State University. She has had a love for dance since age nine, when she took dance from a local dance studio and choreographed dances for the neighborhood kids, in the middle of a Bryden Road sidewalk. Throughout the years, Shelly has taught classes and choreographed for many community organizations, churches, and businesses both nationally and internationally. She has also organized many businesses and organizations such as Christian Dance Academy, Judah Performing Arts Center, Touch Tanzania, Trevitt New Life Ministries Dance Team, and I Just Want to Encourage You…. Just to name a few.
As the Artistic Director of Judah Performing Arts Company, Shelly has produced many community productions and events in various theatres throughout Columbus, Ohio since 2008. Currently, Shelly teaches dance at the Columbus Africentric Early College, attends Rhema Christian Center, is married to Bryan Steward, and has 4 lovely children.
